We now have seed potatoes in stock.
I’m sure lots of you sampled the beautiful soaps that were left in the hall for us by Toni & Grant who have a plot on the East Side of George Hill Allotments.
Toni and Grant now have a website for purchase of their very natural, fragrant, beautiful soaps. Below is a short description of what they do and a link to their website
Handmade artisan soap made using skin nourishing butters and oils like Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Avocado Oil and others. We use only Essential Oils, no Palm Oil and all suitable for Vegans.
We also have body butters and lotions along with accessories like sisal bags and bamboo soap dishes.

All our ghosts, ghouls and naughty spirits both big and small had a wonderful time at the Halloween event.












We were so pleased to see such a great turn out for our first social event after lockdown, thank you all so much for attending.
The generosity of fellow plot holders was overwhelming and our side dish and dessert tables were full to overflowing, what talented chefs we have on our plots. Thank you Anh for the beautiful flowers and Waldec everyone loved tasting your delicious wine.
Big, big thank you to Paul and Grant who slaved over a hot BBQ and produced everything cooked to perfection. Thank you for the quiz Maggie, Carolann for yet another successful raffle, Bill for being DJ and Joyce our Social Secretary for pulling everything together.

As restrictions have now been lifted we are holding a Summer BBQ at the Allotment Hall on August 22nd from 1.30 onwards.
We are having a competition for the best home made hat so please get your creative juices flowing and bring along your hat as there will be a prize for the winner.
We would be extremely happy for any contributions of raffle prizes which could be left in the hall prior to the date and would also love any desserts or cakes which you would like to bring along on the date.

AGM
As you are all aware Covid restrictions have prevented us from holding an AGM. As restrictions have now been lifted we are happy to advise the AGM will be held once the end of year accounts have been verified by our accountant. We anticipate the AGM will possibly be held in January but please check the website in future for further details
Invoicing
We are proposing that the yearly invoices are distributed by e mail this year to plot holders who have an e mail address. Those plot holders who don’t use e mail will receive their invoice by post as usual. You will I’m sure appreciate that this will save a hefty cost for postage but if anyone should object then please advise.
Following on from this please ensure that payment is made by BACS or cheque.
Shop
As Covid restrictions have now been lifted the shop will now revert to being operated on a personal service. An up- dated Price list will shortly be available here on the website and in the box alongside the shop.
West Side Path
We are currently awaiting quotes for the West Side Path to be resurfaced. This is being treated as a priority.
Compost Area
The waste land at the end of the East side is to be cleared and a compost area installed. An e mail has been sent out asking for volunteers to form a work party to clear the area.
Options for improvements to the area at the back and side of the Allotment Hall to be looked into
Social Committee
A Summer Barbecue has been planned for 22 August 1.30 onwards please see the poster and refer to the e mail which has been sent to all plot holders.

We would like to beautify the patio and are putting out a call for any plants seeds and pots for that area, if you have anything spare please let us know.
